A Poem by Safeena Leila
"

Free-falling.

"

free-falling
longing for an end
and at the same time
eternity in gravity
i know it will end
it has to end
will it end?

i want to fall
forever and ever
away from you
him
them
i don't want to be
this anymore
i don't want to be
yours anymore

i lost rhythm
i lost melody
i lost every part of me
who am i?
who are you?
who are we?

i'm tried
but i can't sleep
i let the wind cover me
as i fall
down
down
down

i want-
i don't-
i want-
i don't-
crash.

This is so true. The end of anything hurts. There comes a point where everything shatters and you just dont know how hard and fast you've hit ground zero !!

Well done !!

Falling is wonderful, its the sudden stop that hurts. I like how the speaker says fewer words as they get closer to the crash. It's like the number of words is the distance from the crash. Great poem!

Wonderful poem. I should have read that before bed last night though. 'I want to fall forever and ever away from you him them' my favorite. I've been there. Thanks for sharing your poem.
