Agony

Agony

A Poem by sarah

Just stop!
Stop acting
Like your my friend

Your not okay?
So just stop
Stop pretending

Just stop acting like you care
Stop faking excitement
Every time you see me

Because when you pretend like you care
You might not know this
And you probably don't care

But I believe you
Every smile
Every chuckle

I believe you when you say you are my friend
I believe you every time you pretend to want to know
What's happening in my life

JUST STOP ACTING LIKE YOU REALLY CARE!!

Because when you pretend to care
It hurts twice as much
When I realize

You could care less....

Aww! I'm so sorry you have to deal with people like that. I hate people who are fake too. It's like, If you really don't care about me..why even try to show you do? Be my friend or get out of my life. This poem is very relatable and so full of strong feelings. I loved it. The pain shows well. Sorry you have to go through that. But sometimes we do need to let go of the people that we don't matter to. It makes our lives much better. =) Hope things get better soon for you.

A touching concert of thoughts and cleared emotions, tense and cleaning of the mind, well done, good read.

Awww, i'm sorry you're having such a hard time. Things will get better. But I have been where you are and it truly hurts when you realize someone you thought was your friend was a complete fake. *Hugs* to you. Great poem!

I understand what you meant to express in this poem completely. It's when you want to believe so badly knowing that what you're trying to believe in isn't true is when it hurts the most.

There is always this distinct pattern to your poems that I have become familiar with. Don't lose that, it's your unseen signature as a writer.

True wisdom in your words. We don't need people who are pretending to be friends. We will have few real friends. I like the direct and honest words in the poem. A excellent poem.

Spent years enduring just this. I can relate. Your ink paints the frustration and the emotional cavitation very adeptly.
