High schoolA Poem by sarah
High school
A constant stream of drama Pain Back stabbing I ran as far away from that as possible I never looked behind me I thought I had escaped I kept myself as far away as I could I stayed away from those girls Who spoke wonderful words to you And the second you turn around They are spreading lies and stabbing you in the back I had gone through it all The lies The rumors The betrayal I had all of it It nearly killed me So I ran away But something pulled me backwards Here I am once more Feeling like that sad 10 year old Crying because of the lies And the back stabbing I ran away from those girls Who teased those who didn't have all that they did Who said everything you wanted to hear And then hit you where it hurts the most I thought I was done with it all I stayed out of their way I never talked much to them I never gave them anything to talk about And yet I find myself befriending The girls who hurt me the most The girls I hate the most The people who I ran so far away from I hate high school Because no matter how far you run It will always catch up to you No matter how far you run... © 2011 sarahAuthor's Note
