High school

High school
A constant stream of drama
Pain
Back stabbing

I ran as far away from that as possible
I never looked behind me
I thought I had escaped
I kept myself as far away as I could

I stayed away from those girls
Who spoke wonderful words to you
And the second you turn around
They are spreading lies and stabbing you in the back

I had gone through it all
The lies
The rumors
The betrayal

I had all of it
It nearly killed me
So I ran away
But something pulled me backwards

Here I am once more
Feeling like that sad 10 year old
Crying because of the lies
And the back stabbing

I ran away from those girls
Who teased those who didn't have all that they did
Who said everything you wanted to hear
And then hit you where it hurts the most

I thought I was done with it all
I stayed out of their way
I never talked much to them
I never gave them anything to talk about

And yet I find myself befriending
The girls who hurt me the most
The girls I hate the most
The people who I ran so far away from

I hate high school
Because no matter how far you run
It will always catch up to you
No matter how far you run...

I am a Junior in high school and I am finding myself stuck in the mindless drama when I have already gone through it all and thought I was free of it all

I guess high school has not changed. I have a secret... The real world not that different, especially if you end up in the corporate world.

You have a wonderful brain, I like the stuff you write just continue this and spent little time thinking of 'high school drama'

I was teased endlessly when I was in school. High school was so bad that I nearly dropped out. I am glad that I didn't.
Learn from it, embrace it. Let them see that they can't hurt you.

Awww. so sad but true to most people. I've dealt with little bit of drama in high school but not much to the point that i hate high school. I'm probably lucky enough not to have to deal with a lot of drama as some people i knew that did. I'm sorry to hear your going through this. but eventually things will work out. Or basically get away from the drama as much as you can. And live your life! To be truthful, I miss high school very much, since i graduated in 2010.... *sigh* i often wish i was still a high school student and not a college student sometimes.. But soon you'll get out of the drama after you graduate, so don't worry.

I know exactly what you mean . .high school is harder then people think because the problems are experienced differently and eveyone has their own thing in high school. Nodody really understands but this is a great way to let people know what it's like.especially the females. .

I think most people have had their fair share of bullies. I could have done without mine. However, the ones spreading rumors about me was my "best friend" and my little sister. My senior year. Which is meant to be the best year ever, but for me, it was the worst. I was so happy when I finally graduated.
