Lasting moments

We have those moments
Those lasting seconds
That we never want to have end

Those moments
With that one person
That you want to have last forever

We count the seconds
The moments
Everything

Those moments that we can't explain
That we don't want explained
That we simply want the feeling to linger

Staring into their eyes
Wondering what their thinking
Memorizing their face

There are always those lasting moments
That last for only a moment
But will never fade away

Yes even moments like these with our grandparents or special friends. I think of the moments with my little dog that has passed. I'm so thankful for those special moments. They make me smile and thankful when I remember them. How blessed I am.
