Death

Have you ever felt like death
Is fallowing you
Like it's watching you from behind a wall?

Have you ever felt like death is waiting
Waiting to grab you
And pull you away?

Have you ever felt like death has grabbed you
Has it's hands around your neck
Tightening it's grip?

I have
I feel deaths eyes watching me
Waiting for the end

I don't know if it's there
Or if it's real
But for some reason
I feel it watching me

In the Native American belief. Death is on your left shoulder always waiting. Old myth if you could move quick enough. You would see him. A very good poem. Most of us get the feeling we are being watched. Thank you for the excellent poem.

It is interesting. Never have understood why death is personified the way he is though. Oh in the first stanza did you mean following?

Today I was talking about death with my grandmother. I was telling her how you never expect to die in a harsh or painful way. We expect to just die in our sleep.
Not to sound morbid, but death its self can be interesting.
