Death

Death

A Poem by sarah

Have you ever felt like death
Is fallowing you
Like it's watching you from behind a wall?

Have you ever felt like death is waiting
Waiting to grab you
And pull you away?

Have you ever felt like death has grabbed you
Has it's hands around your neck
Tightening it's grip?

I have
I feel deaths eyes watching me
Waiting for the end

I don't know if it's there
Or if it's real
But for some reason
I feel it watching me

In the Native American belief. Death is on your left shoulder always waiting. Old myth if you could move quick enough. You would see him. A very good poem. Most of us get the feeling we are being watched. Thank you for the excellent poem.

in the eastern religions death is looked upon as an end...and a new beginning. In the west we tend to only think of it as an end. "Create, survive, destroy." But in a larger sense it allows for evolution into more advanced states...and if one considers it spiritually, well spirits don't die now do they... ;-)

I liked this... It was creepy, but in the best possible sense of the word. I was half expecting some twist in a 'I am death and I am watching you right now' kind of way at the end. I think I preferred the real ending! Haha. My imagination was running away again.
