The two faced woman

I see a two faced woman
One face smiles and waves at the sight of you
The other bashes your name when you aren't looking

I see a two faced woman
One face loves to see you
The other can't wait to see you leave

I see a two faced woman
in one hand she holds you tightly
With the other she holds a knife waiting to strike

There goes the two faced woman
Holding sweetness and joy in one hand
And blood and tears in the other

This two faced woman is good looking
She knows just what to say
To make you feel safe

She knows all the tricks
To get you to tell all your secrets
And she knows all the tricks
To get you to turn your back and not see what she does next

I see a two faced woman
Building up someone
And waiting to break them down again

I was talking about gossip and two faced people in youth group tonight and this came to mind.

I suppose in some ways we are all two faced to a extent. We all wear a mask to protect ourselves and to allow us to fit in without being hurt at points in our lives. I would hope this type of being two faced person comes few and far between.
