A Poem by sarah

All these pictures
They all hold different memories
Different emotions

I stare at the past
And it stares back
Wondering where the time has gone

The smiles in all the pictures
Bring back the memories
Of a past well spent

Moments frozen in a picture
People I don't speak too anymore
Hold me in a warm embrace completely unaware

Girls who called me friend
Smile with me
Unknowing of the future

The first boy I loved
Holds me tightly as though nothing would ever go wrong
Not knowing it would all fall apart

Moments
Frozen in time
Will go unchanged
No matter how many times I look at them

I love this. It made me happy, it made me sad, it made me worried, it made me carefree. I think my emotions were as varied as those in the photographs. I loved the line 'hold me in a warm embrace completely unaware', this made the whole poem for me. Brilliant. Thanks for sharing.

I liked it! Pictures are just that, moments frozen in time. Some are happy, some are sad, and some bring back such strong emotions we rather hide them from view. The only thing I give as criticism is you used "too" in the 4th stanza when it should be "to"

Amazing! You pushed the writers black away for sure. This was such a great piece, my favourite of yours!
I like how you talk about freezing moments in photographs. That's one my favourite things about photography!! I love how the memory is to stay! You wrote this message strongly in your poem!

I love this! Even if times are rough you can look back at a picture and remember the good one. Or I always look at a picture of my friend who died and remember her!!
:)
Added to my favourites!

Sarah, you must have an "old soul" to be so young and so wise. You took simple words and wrote a poem of great beauty and wisdom.
