Turning my back

I have been hurting over you
Hurting over my shattered heart
Dwelling on the past
Wishing things could change

But I have to simply walk away
I have to turn my back on what happened
Look away from all the memories
That caused this crack in my spirit

I am done with the tears
I am the done with the anger
And I am done with everything
We've made our choices

Now we stand here
Waiting for one of us to follow through
On our words

I'm turning my back on you
Not because I don't care
Or because I am mad
But because if I don't do it now

I don't think I will ever
Have the strength
To simply say goodbye....

I have been struggling with writers block a really really bad case so have pity on me guys.

A very good poem. Good flow and story. Remind me of music. The "should I stay or should I go" is the question we must answer many times in a life. I like the ending. Ending with a strong statement. A excellent poem.
