Moment of peace

Sometimes I take a moment
A single moment
To really think

I sit in silence
I let myself breath easy
I try to clear my head

I listen to the gentle thump of my heart
I listen to the sounds around me
I watch the rain drip off the roof

In that single moment
The world stops
Everything around me stops

The constant talking
The never ending nagging
All the noise

It all stops....

In that single moment
My world pauses
And I get a single second of peace

I treasure that moment
Because it is my moment
Of peace
