Forever

For a some reason
The idea of forever
Has slowly drifted away from our minds

So many people think the idea of forever
Is silly
Stupid
Unrealistic

But that isn't true
Two people can love each other
Forever

If that's what they want
Then they can do it
If they try

People have this strange idea in their head
That making something last forever
Is easy

It isn't
It never has been
And never will be

Two people change over the course of time
But if you truly love someone
Then you push through the hard times
And you will make it to the good

Forever is not a silly fantasy
It isn't a silly childish dream
It's real

And you can have it
If you try
And work for it

Because forever is a beautiful thing...

Tell me if this flows at all because I was really wasn't trying to make it flow I wanted this to have an impact on someone on here.

This should have impact on people, because usually people don't think about love as being a never dying experience. And they should. Some people search for it, but it's not a journey of searching it's about being strong. And caring for someone, through the bad and the good times. I love the poem, one of my favorites. :)

This is soo true! When people get married they are PROMISING to stay together forever, it is meant to be this way. It might be hard to stay together for so long but it is the promise made. I don't think people should get married unless they actually intend to follow through with it- through the good times and the hard times. As you say it isn't easy, nor is it unrealistic.
