Odd

Odd

A Poem by sarah

I am different
It isn't something I can
Or will hide

I may not stick out at the sight of me
I don't look any different
From anyone else

But if you took the time to see me
If you looked deep down within me
You would see someone very different

I didn't exactly chose to be the odd man out
But I am proud to be the different one
Because it's the way God had made me

I use my oddness to my advantage
I twist it
So it is a good thing

And people that have issues with it
Well they can go ahead
And just be another face in the crowed

I was asked by my sister to write a poem like this so this is sorta a weird attempt at writing a poem about being different :-)

Every snowflake is different...every diamond and every human heart....even nature appreciates the differences that define or defy perfection...but remember....while it IS those differences that make each one unique (each grain of sand...each flake of snow) Nobody ever built a sandcastle from a single grain or a snowman from a single flake....it's important NOT to miss the forest for appreciation of the trees. And while our differences are most treasured...it is the things which we all have in common that bind us as a society....as a family or give us the strength in numbers to achieve a given purpose....i.e. (building a snowman or a sandcastle)...just my two cents worth...I greatly enjoyed the read.

It is nice and it is real for all people. We aren't uniform and that is what makes us special. If not we would be boring. Androids not being able to feel or care to. Just cold calculating machines.

We are all different. Each with separate agendas and goals. I like the poem. Can't allow world to form us and shape us into robots. Better to find a good path and stay on it. I like the ending to the very good poem. Thank you.
