Judgments

Judgments

A Poem by sarah

I wish I could express my emotions
I wish people could understand
I wish people knew
I'm not crazy

I wish I could tell people how I feel
Without being mocked
Laughed at
Insulted

These are my feelings
I can't pretend they aren't
I can't claim to be happy
When i'm sad

I know that's what people expect from me
They expect me to keep quiet
To push my emotions away
To hide them

I can't do that
I can't pretend to feel something I don't
Or to act in a way that pleases other

I wish people could understand
I wish I could make them understand
I wish they would let me express myself
Without judgment

this was awesome work, loved this. we all have to remember that everyone is entitled to his/her own opinion and just because someone thinks differently that doesn't make him/her stupid. in fact how many inventors/scientists who were laughed at because of their work, went on to revolutionise our world? lots of them. it's great you're writing this one and just remember that their words can't stop you from rising above them all. great job

you have to be yourself..and be happy with who you are..before anyone can be happy around you..

i have one thing to say when it comes to people who constantly judge!
THEY SUUUUUUUUUUUUUCCKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!
and to anyone who tries to change me to fit what they think i should be i just look them right in the face and say......welll...... nevermind i don't think i should say that online in front of everyone, but i think you get my point.

well...there are several things here.
1. Your emotions come through very strong in your writing. That is good, because many have their emotions SHUT OFF, and couldn't express them if they tried...so you are ACTUALLY way above them critters...
2. i notice most of your poems are written in the same form. Maybe you should try some different forms...I say this because ALL of the material you write about that I have seen so far is good...I feel you would have more impingement if you had some variety.
3. as an experiment, write about the OTHER persons point of view. Write a few poems as if you were THEM and are expressing what THEY feel...just make it up like it is yours, you don't have to post it, then go back and look at your write and see if there is anything you might change so that it get YOUR point across even better... its all about learning right?

I stand on many principles I learn in the army. Respect, discipline and taking care of people. Many people don't have respect, heart or the desire to be kind. Better to run with the few with the good heart and mind. Can't allow the bad folks to slow you down. A powerful poem. Ain't easy to find your place in a life. Sometime you must dig in and stand your ground. I like the complete poem. A very good ending.
