Who is this person?

Who is this person?

A Poem by sarah

Who is this person?
I don't know who she is
She is unfamiliar to me

The person I knew
Would never crumble under the pain of a heartbreak
Would never drown in her own sadness

I watch her cry into her pillow
I see her scream at his picture
I see her fall to knees

Who is this person?
I can't tell anymore
He destroyed her

He killed the person I knew
She is weak
And helpless

He damaged her
So much
That I can't tell who she is anymore

She used to be ok without him
She used to be able to be independent
She used to be ok with herself

But he stole all of that from her
He broke her spirit
He stomped all over her heart

Who is this person?
I just don't know anymore

This is kinda like a ghost thing it's like I am out of myself and watching myself like my ghost is writing this, if that makes any sense.

Yes we can fall down and can't find where we stood before when love takes us down. A very sad poem. Sometime we must regroup and begin again. Ain't easy but love is education of good and bad. I like the ending. You create a strong poem. If we are asking our self questions. It means we are still OK.

This a very creative poem. Sounds like you are getting to know yourself better through your loss. Pain does this to all of us. What you are going through is normal. It's a part of grieving. Great job.

whqt i like about this poem is the truth, honesty, and the feeling you put into it. you can really tell.

It's so strange reading this. It's like you wrote it about me, I'm sure I wasn't the only one who felt this when reading. Great write, congrats.

But he stole all of that from her
He broke her spirit
He stomped all over her heart

Sometimes that happens...something amazingly beautiful that we experience and something that we have all gone through. There is a startling clarity in so much pain...and you have captured it perfectly!
