Who is this person?

Who is this person?

A Poem by sarah

Who is this person?
I don't know who she is
She is unfamiliar to me

The person I knew
Would never crumble under the pain of a heartbreak
Would never drown in her own sadness

I watch her cry into her pillow
I see her scream at his picture
I see her fall to knees

Who is this person?
I can't tell anymore
He destroyed her

He killed the person I knew
She is weak
And helpless

He damaged her
So much
That I can't tell who she is anymore

She used to be ok without him
She used to be able to be independent
She used to be ok with herself

But he stole all of that from her
He broke her spirit
He stomped all over her heart

Who is this person?
I just don't know anymore

This is kinda like a ghost thing it's like I am out of myself and watching myself like my ghost is writing this, if that makes any sense.

Yes we can fall down and can't find where we stood before when love takes us down. A very sad poem. Sometime we must regroup and begin again. Ain't easy but love is education of good and bad. I like the ending. You create a strong poem. If we are asking our self questions. It means we are still OK.

Yeah, I get what you mean. It happens a lot with me. It's a way to vent, I guess. To deal with things. This was fantastic. Good job.

Your poem has a sorrowful power, concise and despairing. Great writing
I have the luxury of looking back from many years at who I was and who I am now. At fifteen, I( thought my life was over because a boyfriend left me. Reading some of what I wrote then makes me cringe at the depair. You have a choice, you can wallow in the sloughs of despair, or you can think of this as a tempering. When you make sword of steel, it must be repeated heated and beaten out to dri9ve out the impurities in the steel This process makes the steel stronger, more resilient and flexible and able to hold a sharp edge longer. Let this experience make you a stronger, more resilient, more flexible(the bend but don't break kind of flexibility) and above all sharper. You are worth it.
P.S. I saw the old boyfriend 5 years ago, he is bald, no teeth and living with his Mother, Lucky escape for me! LOL

So sad but powerful. There was so much said, and it wasn't just the worried.

This makes perfect sense. I wonder about that question myself when I look in my mirror. I have no idea who I am, and I hate it when my parents say to me you know who you are, because you were born that way. I don't believe this. I believe that later on in life we learn who we really are on the inside, we don't learn it in the beginning. Great poem, I enjoyed it!

Good job! And your poem makes alot of sense, so if you did it or your ghost wrote it, it was a nice write and read!
