A second ago a woman cries
For the choice she has made

Two seconds ago
A young man jumps for joy because he free
From responsibility

Three seconds ago
A child's life was ended

4 seconds ago
A murder was committed
A murder that is excused

A minute ago
A mother made a choice
She will never forget

Two minutes ago
A young man walks off
Without a care in the world

Three minutes ago
A child lost all hope
Lost all rights

All in the matter of minutes

Sorry about making the guy seeming like a jerk but most young guys act like this when it comes to their gf's having abortions

Painfully true. Many young me skate through an unwanted pregnancy with little or no thought. We need to do a much better job of educating the young about sex. Take the stupid "abstinece only" crap and use it to light a fire under the morons who advocate no sex education. They are as bad as the Taliban for wanting society twisted to their perverted version of religion.

i dont want to sound rude, sarah...but imust say that this is your best...the last 3 stanzas just took it to another level altogether. Initially, the first few lines were a little vague. but once i read the complete piece it all makes sense now.
narrating one's pain and another carefree attitude has been done in a wonderful manner.
