You're my brother
My flesh and blood
I have lived with you for years
And people tell me I am supposed to love you

And I have tried
I have tried to laugh at the pain you caused me
I have tried to ignore the emotional abuse
I have tried to love you

But it's hard to do
When you make me feel worthless
You torture me
Tell me that everything I do is stupid

People tell me what a great guy you are
People tell me I should miss you when you're off at school
They always tell me how lucky I am
But they don't know what you have done to me over the years

You never let me forget that I am heavy
You never let me forget that I am not academically smart
You never let me forget all the mistakes I have made in my life
You'll never let me forget

You always had a way to make me feel useless
You always were able to turn everyone against me
You always knew how to hurt me
You always knew how to make me cry

You always hit me just where it hurt
You took my pain
And insecurity
And used it for your own sick pleasure

As a small child
I looked up to you
I wanted to always be around you
But now I just want you to stay where you are

My ass hole of a brother is comeing home for break and he is such as ass but he is my parents angle child, he tortures me and some how is able to make my family join him in torturing me.

Yeah, I get how you feel. I am the youngest of four girls. They never make me forget about anything. And right now I just want to get away from my family because of the suffering I've gone through living with them. But somehow I can't part myself from them. I just try to keep going when everything is tough.

Oh No, he needs to learn some respect! Sorry about him coming home, this doesn't make break very fun, but you should try doing something that really gets at him instead of letting him rule over everybody.

Sometime you can twist things up. Be very sweet and don't get offended when he tries to bother you. Old wise saying. "When you receive no effect. The effort was useless. " Sometime no reaction will make them leave you alone. When someone goal is to piss you off. Don't let them. Just smile and walk away. Then you will win in the end. A very interesting story. You are very smart and try not to allow the negative to stop you.

Oh, I'm so sorry to hear this about your brother Sarah. Maybe your brother is insecure and compensates by putting you down. Who knows? I bet it felt good to write this poem. It was a well written poem. I hope you and your brother find a way to love each other somehow. Wonderful poem.

Great work on a tough subject. A good cathartic piece. Siblings can make life miserable and maybe just maybe he'll grow out of it as you both get older...hopefully he'll see the err of his ways and you can forgive him. :) here's to hope.
