Rainy day

The young girl watches the sky
She watches it intently
Hoping rain will come

She says a small prayer to God
Hoping God will hear her small prayer
She watches the gray clouds tease her

No rain comes
The clouds make the air cold
But the girl doesn't move from her place on the lawn

All she wants is the rain
Everyone ignores her
No one hears her prayer to God

Except God hear her
He smiles at the request and asks
Why do you want rain so badly?

The young girl replied
In a soft almost afraid voice
"It's the only way for me to cry"

a few errors but they get overshadowed by the theme that's portrayed .. i have heard that grown ups feel comfortable crying when it rains . but coming from a little girl it makes my heart sad ....

this is adorable, some people don't like to cry, so the rain would make it easier to realest the pain, without anyone know the childs pain, sad, and touching.

Interesting! I've never read anything like this before, but I have to admit, I enjoyed reading it. The concept had a lot of emotional depth to it, and I thought that the subtle way in which you wrote the piece made it a very touching, heartfelt write.
