You think you got it tough

You think you got it tough

A Poem by sarah

So many people claim to know pain
So many people say their lives are just like hell
People claim to know the ways of the world

I laugh in their faces
I smile when they complain
And shake my head at their innocence

When they glare at me
Wondering how I could be so heartless
So cruel

I simply ask them
If they really understand the meaning of pain?
If they really know what it's like to be betrayed

People laugh at the idea of Jesus
They spit on his name
They would dance on his grave if they could

His best friend turned him into pilot
He was abused beyond our imagination
He was treated like crap

He died for people who hated him
He died for people who would rather die themselves
Then listen to him

But he hung on a cross
With nails piercing his flesh
Nails going through the tendons his hands and feet

And he did that for the people who put those nails in him
He did that for the people who spat on him
He did that for the people who threw a spear into his side

So you tell me you understand pain?
You got it tough?
You don't know anything

I am a Christian and I don't feel like I have professed that on here I am a VERY strong believer, I am ready for a religious debate any moment. And this is me sorta ranting a little about people who say that their lives are terrible when all they have to complain about is an F on a test. Let me know what you think

Jesus is the most enlightened being to ever walk this Earth. My only problem is how he is portrayed..all deities are deplicted in states of enlightenment..but not Jesus, no, he is shown suffering on a cross..That is not what Jesus should be remembered for because his greatest acheivement was rising from the dead and giving everlasting life..I wish we could see Him is his glory not His pain..that's just my view..

Few have known the pain of Jesus. Many in the history of this world. Men and woman had die for love of people. They are the people we are thankful for. The Martin Luther Kings of this world die for us for the freedom and rights of other. Most people complain about the small things. I don't pay attention. Need to allow the mistakes to become forgotten and be thankful for a new day and opportunity.

This poem is very good I like it. It's very emotional. Nobody can compare to Jesus ever.

There's always someone worse off than us, but what does that change? The way I see it, living in some tribe like the amish or in africa with no electronics, life is much happier. They live a simpler life than we do, living with nicer people, not having to worry about the things we worry about. All this technology and arts we have is a con. The western world we live in is unfair and full of sadness. But then again, I can't do what they do and live there, because I'm already westernised.

Very strong poem with a voice of conviction. That's wonderful. Your telling the world what you hold to be true, in public claiming your convictions. Who wouldn't respect that. Love this poem. I too am a Christian. Loved your poem, my friend.
