MaryA Poem by sarah
She lead a simple life
She was a simple girl Wanting an ordinary life She wanted to lead a life pleasing to the Lord She wanted to obey And indeed that is what she did This young teenage girl Served the Lord She carried Jesus in her womb She knew the man she was to marry Wouldn't listen to her explanation No one would But the Lord provided for her He saved her from the judgments of others And helped the man she loved to understand And indeed she was cared for She didn't let her fear overcome her faith She didn't let her tears drown out her joy of being used in such a big way This simple scared girl Had no place to deliver this holy child No one had room for the mother of Jesus So she gave birth in a stable Afraid And cold But the holy child was born Wrapped in swaddling cloths And with love This young girl Was the mother of Jesus As she looked down at her child She could see in his eyes Love And peace For the Lord had indeed provided for her © 2010 sarahAuthor's Note
