ThanksGiving

Sometimes it's hard to see the good in life
It gets hard to give thanks
To smile at a beautiful picture
To simply give thanks

But on this day
This beautiful day
All the pain
Seems to vanish for a moment

I am able to see the good in life
I am able to give thanks for what I have
I am able to see all the things I have been blessed with

On this day I give thanks
To my God for providing for me
For my mother who is more then just my mom
She's my friend

I give thanks for my father
He is strange
And dances to the beat of his own drum
 But I couldn't ask for a better father

I am thankful for my baby sister
Who may be frustrating at times
But who else would keep me on my toes
And make me smile every single day

I give thanks for my home
My town
My friends
And my family

This world may be dark
And some may have very few things to be thankful for
But we always have something to be thankful for
So what are you thankful for this holiday?

Later in a life we always look back and appreciate the good times. I like the desire and feel of this poem. It is hard to be thankful when life don't seem so easy. I like poetry that ends with a question. A excellent poem.

I really loved this work Sarah. We all need to learn to thank God for what's good in life, than cribbing for everything else. and i must say that this poem has left me so very thankful,
and reminded me that everyday there is some blessing for us all,
