Sometimes I sit in a blur

Wondering if your thinking about me

Because I’m thinking of you

Even though I’ve convinced myself I don't care

 

Sometimes when I look at you my knees go weak

Sometimes my heart beats so loud I can swear you can hear it

My stomach goes into painful knots

And memories flood my mind

 

Painful memories are mixed with good memories

My feelings get mixed up

My mind races uncontrollably

And my emotions clash with logic

 

I see you flirt with other girls and jealousy consumes me

Anger takes over

And frustration consumes my heart

 

But then I realize something

You’re not mine anymore

You are free from my affection

And care

 

You belong to no one anymore

And this thought takes over every part of me

That single thought kills me a little

You’re not mine anymore

And that is unchangeable...

 

Tears stream down my face at this thought

It becomes hard to breath

And everything in me twists

Into painful knots

 

I miss you...

But your simply not mine anymore.............

I don't think I can name one person who can't understand these feelings. Except for maybe those who knew that the person was never theirs to begin with, but they wish they could be.
