When I walk into a crowded room

the only face I see is yours

everything else is a blur

 

When I enter into a room of people

I search for your face

everything else dissapears

 

It's amazing to see so many people

but not notice a single one

they don't exist

 

I always am looking for you

no matter where I am

no matter where I go

 

Your face is the only one i see

the only face I want to see

the only one I need to see

 

No matter how large the group

no matter who is there

it's you i'm looking for

and only you...

Nice work...but I think even nicer is the thought and feeling behind it, we all search for someone to feel this way about, and to feel this way about us...hopefully they happen between to same two people...otherwise you got a J giels song called Love Stinks....yeah, google it, you werent born yet :)

Sweet poem! I love the idea behind as well, and I love the way you tell the story as a poem! Real love is hard, to ignore all around you but him is hard, to be with the right one, all sorts of things with love is hard, cause you need a super heart, love and luck to do so.

In college I knew a couple that was in AFROTC together. Constantly I'd watch them interact since PDA wasn't allowed. These were the moments where eyes can say a thousand words. Whenever he would come in late she would be the first face he searched for. Their eyes would connect and I could tell they truly loved each other. Whenever we stretched she'd find a way to turn and look at him. They were such a sweet couple and they had a baby together sometime in their mid h.s years. They restored my faith in couples. Your poem made me think of this. Thanks for the happy thoughts.

I agree with Raymond. I didn't feel the love as much in this one - not that it wasn't good, but I did see in your note that it is an older poem. It's hard to write about love all of the time and show a lot of emotion - I totally get that so I see why maybe it may have been hard to show more emotion in this. I'm not saying this about your poems, but how I feel personally - Love itself is beautiful and the feeling is almost always perfect, but being 'in-love' is not always the same feelings it's just a rollercoaster of emotion. Good write though!
