The DaydreamerA Poem by Sadani AtapattuTo relieve from day to day busy life, we sometimes stay idle creating stories up in the mind which is called daydreaming.Lying in
silence alone Or staring
away afar In a world
not the world before eyes One invoked
only in dreams Whilst awake
in sunshine
A story that
goes on Of things of
now and then Things
impossible as fantasy A kingdom of
love and mystery The way I
want I create A world
exquisite One can only
be dreamed of And forever
I would long Yet futile
in reality Just
daydreaming away To quench
the thirst For the
glory of happiness Amidst the
dreary truth © 2014 Sadani Atapattu |
