True Self

True Self

A Poem by Stephen

It could never happen
The thing so deep inside
Has now come out to play
The darkest, real version of yourself
Embraces your body
Controlling your central movements
Thoughts unheard
Everyone forced to remain blind
To my situation at hand
My soul, weary
Deserving no rest
Forever awake but dead
