Walk to Death

Walk to Death

A Poem by Stephen

Walking for eternity
shunned ceaselessly
the infinite road
leading to contentment
the forsaken streets
the music so sweet
peering in windows
a genuine impersonation
while progressing
recollections penetrate
fragments of sorrow
bursting through the mind
the breakups happened
the love walks taken
the holding of hands
a love that's a lie
old friends and enemies
never to see again
near the road's end
weeping of joy
a blinding radiance
eyes bulging out
heart exploding
ending the wretchedness
declining to the ground
the illumination ceases
finally there is happiness
with life no more
