The Sidewalk of Memories

The Sidewalk of Memories

A Poem by Stephen

The sidewalk of memories
Paved in my mind
Never to leave
Haunting the way
As my life passes before me
Cogitating on paths behind
Leaving her and searching for the half not found
This was the one regret
Left in my mind
As I lay in agony
The time is ticking
My heart is beating
Both slowly coming to a stop
No friends
Not anyone to love
Only one thing left
The sidewalk of memories
Paved in my mind
Never to leave
Haunting the way
