EscapeA Poem by Sabrina12
Standing in a medow.
Looking around- All she sees is the green earth around her. The breeze of the wind brushes past her neck, The only sound Of her heart beating Boom... Boom... Boom Stuck on repeat. She sees vibrate flowers circling her. Bloomed trees surounding her. She's alone in this Escape It's her own special place. No one else can travel here. And she lays down on the blanket of grass Staring up at the dark blue sky Stars gazing down on her Her eyes drift close. She's real when she's here She's gone from her life - when she's here. No pretending to fit in To a world caught up in looks No perfectionist lies in her When she runs off. It all Diappears .... Gone into thin air. She opens her eyes And shes laughing a genuine laugh. For the first time in months. Poor girl, caught up in societies worries. In her mothers fantices. She pleased everyone but herself. She's crying for help on the inside. She's smiling on the outer skin. Won't anyone help her? She runs off into Escape, Because she can't face reality anymore. Because that oh so beautiful girl is going to break. So she Escapes. And that girl wakes up. Because that place she can only reach in her dreams. © 2012 Sabrina12Author's Note
