Words Brew

Words Brew

A Poem by Sabbath_Nikole

Sit and wait

Let it stir, let it brew

Let it bubble up from murky depths

Let demons consume

The ever clear crystal thoughts

In our minds

Turning inside out

Just to see what’s inside

A phrase, a hope

A dying dream

Disease

A plague

The possibilities overwhelm

One who has demons to hide

So let it stir

Let it brew

Until the words

Come out just right

Let the demons consume

Everything right

In the minds eye

Great choice of words. Leaves me with thoughts of a poem bubbling in a cauldren, cooking until it is time to serve. Great images. Rain..

My favorite part of this work reads "So let it stir / Let it brew / Until the words / Come out just right." I'm not sure whether this section was made in reference to communication within a relationship, or as commentary on the writing process itself, but I found them to resonate with me.

Unique and creative structure, I really enjoyed the figurative language. How you are able to weave words in a cauldron and make them come alive with such detail and imagery. Very ironic and a very good poem. Keep writing i really enjoyed it.

this puts me in mind of a conjuring spell; envisioning some sitting around a bubbling cauldron calling out demons; and finding out too late one shouldn't mess with such things. great imagery here - and nice flow.
