Deep Down

Deep Down

A Poem by Sabastian Rivera
"

A hunter's journey to stop evil.

"

Down I go into the caves hunting the last part of me I’ll ever know.

Hacking and slashing those who try to keep me from my goal.

Stopping now will mean no tomorrow.

For the living will not survive this lost soul.

The caves lead to a tunnel as far as the eye could see.

I must move forward to see this journey of mine through.

Hours and hours pass in this demon filled path with no glee.

Then I arrived at a portal with a red hue.

Through it I go getting closer to the prey I will not spare.

I faced down an endless horde with losing vitality.

Until I had finally reached my love’s lair

Now I battle with a broken heart my dark half with no rationality

I dealt them a fatal blow to end this hell.

But deep down in this nether I will sleep in a cold spell.
