Sinner

Sinner

A Poem by Saaski
"

Ooh, it rhymes.

"

Deafen me with metaphors,
Obscure, but somehow sweet
Eroded words come naturally,
Sadly echo where we used to meet.

Maybe, someday, I'll show you this,
Though you're never meant to see.
Killer, however unaware,
You entice what's left of me.

You pull me in, like baited prey,
Occult, but free of sin,
Crushed beneath the burden
That somehow lies therin.

So I use these words like morphine,
Destroying this disease,
Because no matter who I have,
I cannot be pleased.

You nailed it! That was wonderful. I love the use of metaphore and even the preperation for it in the first verse. I really liked this. Barb
