Crazed

Crazed

A Poem by Saaski
"

Woaaah. I'm not so sure about this one, too. I guess I'm not so sure about a lot of stuff.

"

A twisted reflex,
like acid in my throat,
somehow compells me
to pursue you,
though all logic screams the contrary,
and I blindley obey,
an animal in this urge to conquer you,
but something soft hangs in the balance
a brittle feeling,
and I know that if I had you,
I would fall to peices.

I love the contrast between desire as an emotion and a desire to be reasonable. At first I thought the peom was about a stalker/killer, then I realized it is about conquest. Yet the conquest is the destruction of the speaker. I like this. Thank you for sharing. Barb
