The Doubt of a Best Friend

The Doubt of a Best Friend

A Poem by luv2dream

The Doubt of a Best Friend

A tear slips from my right eye,

Throat hoarse and dry,

I knew it was time to cry,

Time to let my dignity fall aside.

It's time to face the world head on,

Ignore the fear,

And realize what's really there for me,

Realize, what's truly meant to be.

The questions still ring in my head,

Is she really my best friend,

Or was it a game, instead,

I need to know.

I feel like sometimes I'm never good for love,

Was my heart never good enough,

Because every time I put an ounce of trust in you,

You back stab me away, like I'm old news.

I really like this poem, I think almost everyone has had a friendship issue like that.
