Fireself

Fireself

A Poem by sHear

I am a destroyer force now because I am made of fire
I am content with nothing

My brain inside is molten metal
My throat is nothing but crystal
My eyes in my face are fire
My hair is made from ash entirely

My arms are hanging pieces of spent coal
My legs are immolated right down to my ankles
My chest is a furnace tempered cast iron
My insides give new meaning to the word heartburn

My fingertips are little welding torches
My ears are so melted that I stopped hearing voices
My nose is a smokestack, a release for exhaust
My mouth is a crucible, a heat that's impossible

That's my Fireself, every part of me never rests
Fighting everything that tries to get me to suppress
It might look like violence, the movement never ceasing
But I'm just looking for a bucket of water to stop this f*****g itching

Ash and molten metal and crystal and fire
My Fireself is burning to get out of this real life mire
It's a self fulfilling prophecy for my Fireself to get done with this
As soon as I'm done I'm just as likely to vanish
