A Remmanant

A Remmanant

A Poem by NotAproved
"

What once was.

"
Not anything is fair in love and war
If desire was burning, let the ashes fall
Must I still obey? Slay me then with thy rustiest sword
Much more is needed than my all?
I would rather writhe in pain.
Wishing and hoping and lost causes now
Hell hath, not the power to rekindle the flame
A lost heart. Searching but it can't be found
Whust the things you hold dearest, whust I cherish?
Even now, still wishing to be held in the highest command
But what matters to me will soon perish
I'm blind no more, what must I understand
Drinking shadows will drown. Up to the rim!
The wind chooses which way the smoke swims

That is an awesome line. Nice job.

Is whust really a word or did you make that up?
Nice poem.
