Our old Fantasies

Our old Fantasies

A Poem by NotAproved
"

The dangers of leaving the past.

"
When reality surpasses fantasy is when the dreaming stops
When the mystic wonders of our past waft away
When the realization that earth turns slowly
but life keeps on winding itself up over again and again
When the wishing for a new day
doesn't bring  hope anymore only poison
The day when growing up is the only option

I really like this poem. It reminds me that the creative adult, the one who doesnt forget his 'Old Fantasies', is the child that survived.
