Secrets

Secrets

A Poem by Rachael
"

very short. I've been having trouble with length lately.

"
These secrets are held inside, blocked by a ten foot think steel wall with no possible way of escaping.
The pressure beneath grows greater every day;
all attempts of freedom have failed.
Days and weeks pass on by and nothing has changed,
except for the few secrets that begin to be transformed into hundreds of lies,
and more secrets to keep.

Wow. This poem has a whole lot going on in it for such a short piece.
You really have a lot of wisdom in your words. Lies are very difficult
to maintain. There is a certain sadness that comes from knowing things
have to get worse before they get better, but there is hope. Your words
are a warning for all.

Not everything has to be a page and a half, if what you write feels right; if it is what you think, then no one has the right to tell you that your poem is too long, too short, too blah. Write for you, no one else...I like the poem btw
