Three Way Street

Three Way Street

A Poem by Rachael
"

hmm.. wrote most of this on the bus on the way homee

"

I learn new things that break my heart,

but then I see your face and that feeling disappears.

It’s a three way street and I don’t know which way to go.

Around and around in circles until I can’t turn anymore.

I stop and you are there.

When I begin again you disappear.

I only wish you could make this easier on me but how should you know?

My body is slowly shutting down under the force you have upon me.

Yet, soon the force will lift and you will be forgotten...

There are too many decisions in life. Sometimes we wonder how our decisions will affect everyone else first and us last. This poem made me think of a person who has an overwhelming number of options for their life, but someone wants them to stay in the same place. If they move on, they will lose this person who is idle in life. In this point of view I found this poem to be beautiful and heavy on the mind. There is an overwhelming amount of wisdom here. Either you are actually 80 yrs old..or you're a vampire.

Youre depth is great for someone so young. Follow youre heart and it will guide you through life but keep it protected because in life its imment to feel heartbreak. If youre ready for it then it wont hurt as bad. But follow your heart and youll find youre way

You express such a depth in yourself, your mind and heart, and in your life as you move on. Beautiful and bittersweet... I loved that you wrote this on the bus! So glad you have paper handy and can write anytime. Perfect for a writer!
