Bitter Day

Bitter Day

A Poem by Rachael

When I woke up in the morning it felt like Spring.

When I went to bed at night it felt like Winter.

What happened that could have made me so bitter?

Nothing wrong with my friends.

No bad news from anyone.

My family is all good and well.

What and who does that leave me with?

Take a minute and think.

Could you have done anything?

Because the last time I checked, you broke my heart.

Now all I want to do is wash you out of my life.

To have you become soapy bubbles in the bottom of my sink.

And looking at the bubbles, they become black with hatred.
