Like a Clown

Like a Clown

A Poem by Rachael

Have you ever felt like a clown?

Like a clown, you feel like you stick out like a big red nose.

Like a clown, a smile has to be painted on your face.

Like a clown, you are juggling balls...

but is it really an object?

each one represents a different thing

  Life, Love, Family, and Friends

Can you decide?

This Metaphor went right over my head at first, but as I took a deeper look, you really said volumes. Everything from feelings of inadequacy to hiding true emotions, to putting your life on hold to support or make others happy. At first the poem felt child like, but on the second time around, I felt the weight of life bearing down on my shoulders. I really like it.

Everything that Zeitgeist has already stated.
Hope you can keep up the act. Otherwise you'll end up a crack-addicted bum in an alleyway. Such heart-warming thoughts.
Anyway, much better than a lot of the work I've seen on here. Not amateur by any means. Thanks for sharing! ^^
