How Does it Make You Feel?A Poem by Ryan MillerA poem about the past ... and how we perceive it
How does it make you feel?
Should the Melody and Beat translate Through time and space, a common state In the dim orange glow of the past I reel It is Virgin, Simplistic, Untainted in feel Reversal of Moments nightly unravel, The cynical Eye which years have embattled No thought to be seen No Specter be heard the past is a shadow a fraction a third What sinister weight accumulates hence What craggy device increases suspense The hours and words, our culture a glutton A horrible runaway mass of propulsion Crushing simplicity with reckless momentum
