silenceA Poem by Ryn
the silence in this room is deafening
i cannot hear the rain outside my window or the wind beating the trees against the house i cannot hear the small drops painting the glass or the leaves crumpling with the wind i wish i could hear the sun shine on every dark place every little crevice that the rain had dampened i wish i could hear the goosebumps she gets as the sun warms her arms or the crinkled smile on her lips i wish i could hear her dance in the puddles and hear the wind sweep the hair off her shoulders but all i hear is silence because that was years ago and its not raining outside my window there isnt even a window here © 2016 Ryn |
