Lost seeds, new flowersA Poem by mendedwordsA free write, just stepping outside the box a bit. Still a bit rough around the edges.
Respect our women? more likely we'll neglect our women,
open and dissect our women, fail to protect our women/ society claims monogomy is weak, spread seeds on forbidden soil infected with the unclean and inject our women/ what kind of king calls her queen just to gain access in between, plant seeds, after they sprout these "men" are never to be seen/ meat in the eyes of the vulture/ vulnerable to stereotypes, Just ride with the tone right?/ where rap culture will rape our women video tape our women/ twerking smiling faces fearful to face pain. continually hurting/ good enough for sex, an excuse to piss off an ex . What's the beauty in it food for thought not just breakfast in bed for the morning after/ sloppy seconds sex first love second, First was good but we lust for second/ throw in curves to steal third/ play the field denied home plate, find another field to pitch but if there is no play. ... she must be a wrong;/ how much lower can one go/ I'm speaking of mothers, sisters, cousins/ ruined in dozens/ they are not the ones searching for love in wrong places it's the men who neglect, disrespect fail to protect. Lead by example show young men how to treat them beat them, deceive them 3 AM texts followed by sex, afterwards delete them/ wonder why our women become bitter, fragile, broken unable to trust/ the men who replace love with lust/ women aren't the damaged goods, the repair begins with us. © 2014 mendedwords |
