["Let's fall off into the ocean]A Poem by ryanA day at the park
"Let's fall off into the ocean
& see where we land", She says, dotting my arm with her finger-tip. She commands her pointer Like a brush--painting Her love on the curves of My skin. Swallowing up the lazy sun, I squint and tickle the Fantasy out of her breath & Laughter fills the air. The birds and their peeping-- Pecks remind me that We're in a park--watching the River like sky, guide the Mackerel School of clouds on by. The tress play along as the Wind fills the boughs-- Crackling--creak--like & Her laughter fills the air. I let the wind fill my lungs, And I pulled her down as I Grasp for breath--feeling the Tingle of fresh fish under my Bare feet and Her voice fills the air. She screams and shouts as The Birds fleck and flutter-- And I throw waves of grass Over waves of grass Over waves of grass
