Word Adventure

A Poem by Robert Wlaschin

My thoughts were written alive, hot and steaming from the end of my pen; instinctively, the story seemed to write itself, drawn out with each drop of ink.  Rolling out a long bit of prose with a heroic period to fight off the villainous semi-colon for the affections of a beautiful comma; who was trapped between the circling sharks of independent clauses; only to be saved at the last predicate along with the world.
