Once Beautiful

Once Beautiful

A Poem by rutherford

(inspired by Loren Eiseley's  All the Strange Hours)

Feet crunch on glass

as in an abandoned house

sometimes a ray of light

strikes through

a broken shutter

and something still glitters

devastatingly beautiful

upon the floor
