TRASH DAY

TRASH DAY

A Poem by rutherford

We know

it's trash day eve

when drab green bins

picket the street

like neighborhood sentries

taking up curbside posts

to stand watch

through the night

until the trash trucks

smash the dawn

and violently

relieve them

of our

discarded histories.

I really enjoyed this read. You give it such a menacing tone.

Thanks Mattavelli. I see the trash cans every Monday night.
