MORAL FOOTING

MORAL FOOTING

A Poem by rutherford
"

Could use suggestions to improve this--especially welcome input on the ending. Thanks

"

Tenderfoots haven’t walked

enough to know

Feet stir our spirits

Stomping grapes under the Tuscan sun

Stepping across the threshold on a wedding night

Famous feet kick field goals

Dance Swan Lake

Walk hot coals to prove

The mind can take it

In blue Hawaii

Surfers say

Hang ten

But history holds feet accountable

Don’t tread on me

Goose step down the Champs Elyse

March across a bridge in Selma

Feet save your souls

i love this, Rutherford...

really like "March across a bridge in Selma and the last line, but the bridge "Stay on your toes"
i think needs to be changed to a more serious line to match the other two...it almost seems to lighthearted there...

but overall, what you did with the idea of feet..fantastic.

Thanks Jacob. Very helpful. The ending seemed a little too light hearted.
