SHADOWS OF THE ROAD

SHADOWS OF THE ROAD

A Poem by rutherford

Longleaf pines conspire
to strike the road
with slatted shadows
An off kilter picket fence
pointing to the setting sun.

There's a haiku in this one.

i can picture this...and i really like the picture in my head...you put it there.

i remember our street in Lockport....lined with elms that gave it a tunnel effect...

so beautiful, so many shadows...life has lots of shadows too, guess it makes us appreciate the sun in life a bit more.
